From Harriet explores traumatic experiences that are related to African American slavery since the Black Atlantic. The design relates to the bibliographical film of the expedition of Harriet Tubman, her escape, courage and determination saving all the enslaved African Americans to freedom. The concept for the design outcome is to create a visual narrative that connects the traumatic history with the journey to freedom, depicting courage determination.
